So this is how it happens. This is what they don’t tell you in The Academy. There’s no button to press when you’re in the airlock and you have no radio contact.

I’d been in one before. It really isn’t rocket science to clean up a mess in the airlock. Frankly, it’s just scary. It’s dark. And you KNOW that without your suit on, the toxins that hover spitefully around will burn through human skin in about 30 seconds.

I took the mop droid inside, assuming that they knew I was inside and would open the airlock in a few minutes. I scanned the dimly lit, rank atmosphere for the mess. And that’s when I saw it. Just sitting there. LOOKING at me.
